Head of People & Organization

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced leader to head the People and Organization Department, focusing on team management including leading a small team and strategic development. In addition to managing operational HR tasks and office-related responsibilities, you will act as an HR Business Partner, collaborating closely with other departments to align HR strategies with business objectives. Experience in dealing with Portuguese labor law and strong leadership skills are beneficial, as you implement key processes, support HR operations, and handle employee inquiries. Your role will also include guiding recruitment efforts and contributing to a vibrant corporate culture, embodying EOS values.

What you’ll be doing:

• Organizing and leading the People and Organization Department

• Developing an optimal strategy for enhancing the skills and capabilities of the company’s human resources

• Actively contribute to the EOS Portugal management team as a strategic partner in driving organizational growth and culture development

• Implementing all key processes related to labor law and providing advisory, professional, and operational support for their execution

• Drafting internal regulations concerning human resources

• Designing, implementing, and analyzing various organizational diagnostics

• Responsible for establishing and enhancing a robust People Development and Performance

• Evaluation system that ensures continuous skill advancement through targeted training and development programs

• Providing recommendations and guidelines regarding new hires, from job advertisements, job descriptions, and conducting interviews

• Assisting with administrative tasks within the People & Organization Department when necessary


 

What you’ll need:

• University degree (Law, Economics, Psychology, Sociology)

• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in (senior) HR /consultancy field positions or leading positions

• Experience in dealing with and good knowledge of Portuguese labor law is an advantage

• Proficient Portuguese language is a must

• Fluent in English, both spoken and written

• Strong leadership and management skills

• People-oriented and results-driven

• Highly developed general communication skills

• Good organizational and prioritization skills

• Creative and innovative in developing new strategies


 

Nice to have:

• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word

• Previous experience in working with Factorial and/or other HR administration systems
